Since our birth as a simple hashtag in the summer of 2020, we have maintained our support of Black LGBTQ+ individuals, with heightened urgency on Black trans and gender-nonconforming people. As you can imagine, this work, especially as a grassroots organization, can be laborious on the board. During Trans Awareness Month 2023, we launched a $10k campaign to sustain our work through our new fiscal year.

We’re happy to have expanded our work in the ways we have thus far! In the past year, we’ve solidified our board, hosted our first and second annual BIG THANKS Food Drive, distributed microgrants, hosted our first kiki function, and launched our Transformative Media Series.
